Fox and Mask
A Fox had somehow managed to get into the store-room of a theatre. Suddenly he observed a face glaring down on him and was very frightened; but looking more closely he saw that it was only a mask such as actors use to put over their face.
“Ah,“
said the Fox,
“you truly look very fine; but it is a pity that you do not have any brains.“
A fair face is useless without brains
