Jim Brown
Jim Brown, full name James Nathaniel Brown (1936), US Black American football player. At Syracuse University, Brown showed outstanding promise in boxing, basketball, and baseball as well as football. From 197 to 1965 he played as a fullback for the Cleveland Browns; during his nine professional seasons he scored 126 touchdowns and set a series of records for running with the ball. After his retirement he appeared in a number of action movies and campaigned for the advancement of Black people in the business world.
