Bakhtunnisa Begum
Bakhtunnisa Begum, 1550, Mughal princess. She was the daughter of Humayun and Mah Chuchak Begun’, and a sister of Muhammad Hakim, the governor of Kabul. She was made the governor of Kabul by Akbar in about 1576, when her brother, who had rebelled against the Emperor, was defeated and to flee. Though her brother was later pardoned and allowed to return, the real power continued to be exercised by her.
