Divalbai
Divalbai, 18th cent., poet-saint of Gujarat. Daughter of a poor Brahmin of Dabhoi, near Baroda, she was given to a monk during the great famine of 1781. She was educated, and taught Ramayana, and other religious books, by him. Later she settled at Baroda, and composed many hundreds of poems on incidents from the life of Rama.
