C.B. Muthamma
C.B. Muthamma, career diplomat. First woman career diplomat of India, she was born in Coorg, in South India. She qualified for the I.A.S, and later joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1949. She served in France, U.K., Burma, and later served as the ambassador to Hungary, and Ghana.
