Ramgarh Rani
Ramgarh, Rani of, d.1858, freedom-fighter. She was the wife of Raja Lachman Singh of Ramgarh, in Dinderi tehsil of Mandala district in Madh) a Pradesh. When the small state was taken over by the British, the Rani became the leader of the revolt in 1857. She was, however, defeated in an encounter with the British forces, and killed herself by her own hands.
