Tyaba Begum
Tyaba Begum, 1873-1921, social worker. First Muslim lady of her generation to discard purdah, and take to social work, she was born in Hyderabad, and was the (laughter of Nawab Imad-ul Mulk. She played a remarkable role during the floods of 1908 when almost half the town of Hyderabad had been devastated. She was also a pioneer of education of women, and an associate of Sarojini Naidu.
