I am a student studying in standard X/ B, Roll no. 39 of your school. I belong to a poor family. My father works as a peon in one of the local private offices. However, he is going to retire next month.
My father’s retirement will result in monetary shortage for our family with his mere pension of rupees 5000/ – per month. He has to feed the entire family of five besides looking after the necessities for housing, clothing and my education. Although I am very interested to continue my studies in your school, it is becoming very difficult for me to do so.
I am good in my studies. I have won five prizes in interschool drawing, essay and letter writing competition for the school in last two years. My ambition is to pursue higher studies for becoming a teacher.
I shall be grateful to you for your kind approach towards my situation and grant me a scholarship. I am sure that you will find me the most deserving student for this kind of favour. This scholarship will assist me to fulfil my dreams in future. I shall never forget your kindness. I am confident that you will certainly grant me a scholarship.
