Spaceship Earth
In the limitless vastness of Space, in the deepest heights of blackest darkness, travels a spaceship carrying with it the right type of atmosphere, the right temperature, the requisite quantity of water, the right type/quantity of vegetation-food and fodder. This spaceship, most moderately sized, is whirling through space at an incredible speed of about 10 miles per second, several times faster than an ordinary cannonball that can go round the sun while keeping at a safe distance from it. Yes, this spaceship is the Earth. One of the nine known planets, the earth only deserves the title ‘spaceship’ because the earth only has ‘life’, the name given to those remote-controlled robots, human,s and ‘other’ beings of land, sea, and air. The human beings, who consider themselves the crown of creation, must be careful and see that they do not overpopulate this spaceship, do not overburden it. We should not pollute it; we should not contaminate it. We must not deface it, if we cannot beautify it.
