How are the clouds formed?
When water on the surface of earth evaporates it forms water vapour. Warm air containing water vapour rises up in the atmosphere and cools down. Cool air cannot hold as much water as warm air, the vapour particles condense to droplets. These droplets get together to form clouds. At first these clouds are white and flimsy but as they become laden with water they become thick and grey. When the air around the clouds is warmer than the cloud, only stable clouds like Stratus clouds are formed. But if the cloud is warmer than the air around it, it rises high and forms Cumulonimlous clouds. When the droplets accumulate and be-come very heavy that the clouds cannot hold them, they fall to earth in the form of rain, hail or snow.
