How do the cows keep our planet warm?
Till now, cows have been known as dairy animals providing us their nutritious milk besides other things. But they perform another important functions and that is to keep the planet warm.
Cows eat large amount of grass and take a long time to chew and digest it. The process of digestion produces a large amount of methane gas (chemical formula, CH4), into the atmosphere, which is one of the Green- house gases. It traps the sun’s rays reflected back from the earth’s surface and keep our planet warm.
