How does a cordless phone work?
The cordless phone consists of two parts—the base unit plugged into a telephone line and secondly the cordless phone. Both of these have a radio transmitter and receiver built into them which send radio signals carrying telephone conversation back and forth to each other. In this way
one can speak on the cordless phone sitting in the garden even while the base unit is inside the house. However, cordless phones work within a certain range which is a few metres from the base unit.
