How is that information for weather forecasting obtained?
Weather is constantly changeling in most parts of the world. Information like temperature, humidity, sunshine, air pressure, speed of wind and direction, rainfall etc. are collected from all over the world through various sources.
Weather stations give the information at the ground level while satellites record temperature and cloud covers in various parts of the atmosphere we cannot see. Radars are used to track the progress of rain across the country and to record the amount. Weather balloons carrying radio transmitters tell us about the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere at different heights. Ships give the details about the conditions at sea while special aircrafts measure atmospheric changes. Super computers process this formation into synoptic charts which are used to predict the weather.
