Kallam Anji
Dr. Kallam Anji Reddy who hails from village of Tadepalli in Guntur district is the founder-chairman of the Reddy Group of Companies. Under his leadership, Reddy Group of Companies became the first non-Japanese pharmaceutical company to be listed in the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) Dr. Kallam Anji Reddy pursued B.Sc. in Pharmaceuticals and Fine chemicals from University of Mumbai (formerly University of Bombay) and then completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, in 1969. Besides the notable awards received for his discovery in the pharmaceutical industry is the Padma Shri recognition in 2001. Currently, Dr. Reddy is an nominated member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Trade and Industry, Government of India, and has also been selected to the Board of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)
