Bakhshi Banu Begum
Bakhshi Banu Begum, 1540, Mughal princess. Daughter of Humayun and Gunwar Bibi, she along with her infant brother Akbar, fell into the hands of Humayun’s rebellious brother, Askari, in 1543, who sent her in depth of the winter of 1545 from Qandhar to Kabul. She was married in 1550 to Ibrahim, but he was killed ten years later. Left a young widow, she was given away in marriage by Akbar to a Mughal noble.
