Bakshi Begum
Bakshi Begum, later 18th cent, principal wife of Nizam Ali, Nizam of Hyderabad. She received a letter from Tipu Sultan of Mysore, in April 1791, to join hands against the British in the cause of Islam, but she upbraided him in her reply, and for his aggression against Hyderabad.
