Begum Aizaz Rasul
Begum Aizaz Rasul, 1909, political and social worker. Daughter of Nawab Sir Zulfigar Ali Khan of U. P., she was married to Nawab Aizaz Rasul of Sandila, U.P. She was closely associated with contemporary politics, and was a member of the U. P. Legislative Council from 1937 to 1953, and its deputy president from 1937 to 1940. She was also a member of the Constituent Assembly (1946-50), of Rajya Sabha (1952-56) and of U.P. Vidhan Parishad (1958-68). She was also a minister of U.P. from 1969′ to 1971. She was very prominent in social uplift of women.
