Hukman Kaur
Hukman Kaur, 1783, Rani of Ritiala. Wife of Raja Sardul Singh (d. 1753) and grandmother of Raja Sahib Singh, it was through her endeavours that the six year old Sahib Singh became the ruler of Patiala after the death of Amar Singh (d. 1781). She also had a capable person, Nanun Mal, appointed as his Diwan, but a murderous attack was made at him. She came hurrying, but died soon after, and he Diwan was made a prisoner.
