Jahanava Devi
Jahanava Devi, II, later 16th cent, Vaiskara saint. Widow of Nityananda, a folltiv,er of Chaitanya (d. 1533), she was accepted as the undisputed leader of the Vaishnavas after the death of her husband. She also undertook three trips to Vrindavan, near Mathura, where she was very honourably received. She also preached Vaishnan ism in all the regions through which she passed.
