Mahim Begam
Mahim Begam, 1532/33, Mughal princess, one of the Wives of Emperor Babar. Mahim Begum was a Shia and was married to Babar in 1506. She accompanied him on many of his campaigns, and was his only queen who was allowed to sit by his side on the throne at Delhi. Even after the death of her husband, she continued to play an active role in contemporary affairs of the State.
