Mihr-un-Nissa Begum
Mihr-un-Nissa Begum, or Mihr-Parwar, d. 1744, Mugal princess. The principal wife of Emperor Bahadur Shah (d. 1712) who succeeded Aurangzeb, she exercised considerable influence over the emperor. A European carriage presented to the emperor by the Dutch envoy was given over to her which much excited the jealousy of other wives. She also accompanied the dead body of her husband from Lahore to Delhi. She died at Delhi on 10 January 1744, at the age of over 80.
