Nawab Mashuq Mahal
Nawab Mashuq Mahal, 1856, courtesan. A favourite of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah (deposed 1856) the last ruler of Avadl, she used to live in Roshan-ud-Daula Kothi, at Lucknow, which he had confiscated for her, and called Qaisar Pasand (Tavourite of the King’). The building is now a courefitie of Nawab, iand Mahal, was conferred upon her by the King.
