Rani Honnamma
Rani Honnamma,17th cent., Kannada poet. A sudra woman, she probably belonged to Yelandur, in Karnataka, and was employed in the palace of the King Chikka Devaraja. She was ,educated at the instance of the queen. She wrote. Hadibadeya on the duties of a chaste woman, which also gives the genealogy of the rulers of Karnataka.
