Subhadra Joshi
Subhadra Joshi, 1919- , political worker. She originally started as a teacher, and later edited the underground political news-sheet Hamara Hindustan. She played a commendable role during the partition riots of 1947, particularly among the textile workers of Delhi. She was a member of the parliament from 1952 to 1967 and was again elected in 1971. She was very active in the cause of women’s welfare, the poor and the destitute.
