Paul Simon
Paul Simon, (1941— ). US folk singer and songwriter. He rose to fame with his former school friend Art Garfunkel (1942 ), with whom he recorded songs blending folk and rock styles, such as those on the album Bridge over Troubled Waters (1970). From the 1970s he made a series of successful solo albums, notably Still Crazy after All These Years (1975). The highly acclaimed Graceland (1986) featured South African musicians, while The Rhythm of the Saints (1990) was inspired by Latin American styles.
