Sir Frederick Handley Page
Sir Frederick Handley Page, (1885-1962). British aeronautical pioneer. In World War I Page designed the Handley Page 0/400, the first twin-engine bomber. Between the wars the Handley Page company, founded in 1909, merged with Imperial Airways. During World War II Page designed the Harrow, Hampden, and Halifax bombers. He also built the post-war Victor B2 bomber, armed with the Blue Steel missile.
