Electrical geyser get the energy for heating from the electric supply but in case of solar water heater, the energy required for heating the water, is obtained directly from the sun which is free of cost. This is why solar water heater is more economical than the electrical geyser.
Solar water heaters are so designed that they receive maximum amount of sunlight to get heated up. This is done by using a black painted surface which absorbs maximum amount of heat from sunlight, a glass sheet cover to prevent the loss of the absorbed heat and a reflector to increase the efficiency of the solar water heater.
