Subject: Inconveniences about the frequent breakdown of electricity
Respected Sir,
I would like to draw your kind attention towards the frequent breakdown of electricity in our locality. People have to face a lot of inconvenience due to the breakdown of electricity at any time of the day. The whole area is thrown into darkness and many times the power supply is not restored for eight to ten hours.
Students preparing for the examinations are the worst sufferers. They cannot concentrate on their studies. The weak, physically challenged and old people suffer the most when there is no electricity. Moreover, burgles and other anti-social elements become more functional in carrying out their activities when it is completely dark.
The concerned electricity authority has done virtually nothing to improve this terrible situation. The matter has been described to them repeatedly but in vain.
I, therefore, request you to kindly publish the above-mentioned situation in your esteemed newspaper so that the higher authorities are bound to initiate speedy action.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
Milind Gandhi
