Lalita
Lalita, A., 1919- . engineer. Daughter of a professor of electrical engineering in Madras, she qualified as a civil engineer in 1937, and was the first woman engineer in India. She later joined Associated Electrical Industries, Calcutta, and attended many international conferences relating to engineering.
