Fanny Parkes
Fanny Parkes 1822-48, traveller. She came to India in 1822 with her husband and travelled widely all over northern India till 1839. She came to India again in 1844 and returned to England in August 1945. She published an account of her travels in India in two volumes, which is regarded as one of the best descriptions of contemporary political scene.
