Radha Bai
Radha Bai, 1696-97, Mahratha lady, wife of Nagoji Mane, of Mhswad, near Satara. Her brother, Amrit Rao Nimbalkar, was cruelly put to death in June 1696, by the guerilla leader, Santaji, who had rebelled against 4ittlaram, who had taken over the Mahratha Kingdom after the death of Shivaji. She encouraged her husband, who was intriguing with the Mughals to avenge the death of her brother by capturing Santaji. Her husband surprised him when he was bathing in a stream, cut off his head, and sent it to Aurangzeb.
