Tukabai Mohite
Tukabai Mohite, 1600, Mahratha lady, stepmother of Shivaji. A daughter of the Mohite family of Supa, she became the second wife of Shahji (d. 1664) for whom he left his first wife Jija Bai. In 1630 she gave birth to a son, Ekoji, who founded the Mahratha kingdom of Tanjore, and was often in conflict with his step-brother, Shivaji.
