Yakini Mahattara
Yakini Mahattara, 7th cent., Jaina scholar. She defeated a Brahmin scholar, Haribhadra, in arguments, who thereupon became her disciple and accepted the Jaina faith. She was vastly learned and did more than any other woman to disseminate Jaina scriptures.
