Nostradamus
Nostradamus (1503-66). French astrologer and physician, also known as Michel de Notredame. His Centuries (1555), a collection of obscure prophecies, brought him fame and in 1560 he was appointed physician to Charles IX of France. The accuracy of his prophecies, one of which is supposed to predict the rise of Hitler, has been the subject of much debate.
