We are living in an age where, no part of the world seems away anymore. Today with the advancement of science and technology, the world has become closer and shorter. The invention of television has been one of the biggest achievements in the field of science. Not only the global issues but social issues political issues etc. too are known to each and every child due to television, but the fact remains the same that newspaper too has been a big source of information. Everyday we get to know about various events happening across the globe through newspapers also. Now only, it does increase our knowledge but helps in developing good reading skill. It improves a person’s vocabulary too. The 24-hour television culture on the other hand is hazardous for the eyes too. Thus whatever importance is given to the television, computers etc. the fact remains that no means of information can take the place of a newspaper which is indeed a major source of information.
