Relief Measures for Fire Victims

9th March, 20xx: A major area of slums in the city was rocked by a fire of great intensity in the morning hours of 8th March 2010. People were caught unaware by the sudden sound of a cylinder blast and within no time the whole area was engulfed in smoke. People rushed out of their houses in great panic but there was a heavy loss of life and property. The govt. and private agencies rushed for immediate help, rescue and relief. In a bid to offer their share of relief, L.M Jain school held its emergency meeting to transport and distribute relief case packages of dry food, milk powder and water-can etc. Collection points were fixed by the students to deposit their material and food items. A special forum was set up by the students to receive blankets, tents, clothes and other wrappers etc. The funds collected were to be properly used for their rehabilitation.
