Sir,
Sub.: Poor Bus Service in Our Area
Through the column of your esteemed paper, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the poor bus service for the residents of R. K. Puram. R. K. Puram is a very large colony situated on the outskirts. It is peopled by more than 10 thousand persons. But there is no bus stop within a radius of 3 km. People have to walk a long distance to reach the bus stop. Nor are there enough buses on this route. There are about two hundred school going boys and girls who cannot reach their schools in time for want of adequate bus service. Most of them have made their own arrangements but these are expensive. So they depend on roadways.
Buses coming from river side arrive fully packed. They sometimes do halt at the bus stop but for of the persons, it is difficult to board them. This can be avoided by playing a few additional many buses on this route.
What is more shocking is the indifferent attitude of the drivers and conductors who do not stop the buses at the bus stop. When they are requested to look into the inconvenience of the people, they talk absurdly and use indecent language. Strict action should be taken against them if they do not follow the traffic rules. Increasing the bus service on this route will provide a great relief to the residents.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Shiraj
