Fools rush in where angels fear to tread
This is clearly the concept of those who are cowards or over discreet. On the very face of it, the statement is fallacious because angels have no existence. If it is used metaphorically for men capable of miraculous deeds, the statement becomes self-contradictory, for such deeds cannot be performed without rushing in. We praise those men who ‘rush’ in where angels fear to tread’ and do not call them fools. Daring is necessary for doing hazardous and unusual things. If we look through the pages of history, we find that human knowledge took great strides only when there was some daring soul to rush in. Socrates, Christ, and even Mahatma Gandhi rushed into the jaws of death to achieve something they held dear and we worship these great men. There have been numerous smaller men who showed equal courage and embraced the stake.
