Dhirubhai Ambani
Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani, also known as Dhirubhai Gujarati, was one of the richest business tycoons of India. He founded the Reliance Industries with his cousin. He was born on 28 December 1933. He stated his entrepreneurship by selling pakoras. When he was 16 he moved to Aden, Yemen and started working with A. Besse and Co.Dhirubhai returned to India in 1962. With a capital of Rs. 15,000 he started the Reliance Commercial Corporation and the primary business was to export spices and import polyester yarn. In 1977, he took his company public and by 2007, the Ambanis became one of the richest families in the world as the combined fortune of the family was 100 billion dollars. He passed away on July 6 in 2002.
