Leander Paes
Leander Adrian Paes is an Indian tennis player and currently features in the ATP tour in the doubles event and the Davis Cup Tournament. He was born on born June 17, 1973. Today, he is one of the most successful professional tennis players in India. At the Tennis Grand Slam events he has won several doubles and mixed doubles events. For his immense contribution to tennis in India, he was conferred with the Rajib Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 1996–1997 and the Padmashri award in 2001.Besides, the seven doubles and mixed doubles Grand Slam victories, Leander has also won seven Davis Cup performances and a single bronze medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games for India.
