Prayer Time in My School
I am a student of Blue Bells Public School, New Delhi. I read in VII class. There are 1500 students and eighty teachers in my school. Our school is one of the best schools of Delhi. Our school begins from 8.30 a.m.
We reach the school at 8 a.m. Our school bell goes at 8.20 a.m. and we all gather in the ground for prayers. We all stand in rows according to our classes. Our teachers stand in front of us, Our Physical Training Teacher Mrs. Singh commands us. There is beating of the drum. We spend a few minutes in physical exercise. Then we stand at ease and relax for a few moments. Then we go for the prayer.
Six or seven girls come out of the rows. They sing the prayer and we all follow them. All the teachers stand in attention and participate in the prayer. Thus we begin our classes with a prayer. During the prayer nobody moves. Only our lips move and our hands are kept folded.
Prayer gives us power. It ennobles our hearts. We always pray Him to help us to become good, happy and successful in life. God helps only those who help themselves. After the prayer we feel so light. Prayer helps us to concentrate on study better. Prayer makes me think that God has heard me. Those who pray are always noble, honest, hardworking and non-violent.
After the prayer one of the teachers says a few words on moral and spiritual education. Sometimes an interesting story is told to underline a moral teaching. Then the bell goes and we prepare to go to our classes quietly.
