Maruni
Maruni, 967, Rajput princess. Daughter of a prince of Ajmer, she was married to Dhola Rao of Amber. The marriage ended tragically for Dhola was later killed. Maruni escaped and bore a posthumous child named Dhundar. His son Maidal Rao later played a significant role in Rajput history. The love of Dhola and Maru has been much embellished by legends.
