Kuttimalu Amma Anakkara Vadakkath
Kuttimalu Amma Anakkara Vadakkath, 1905- , political and social worker. Born in a middle class Nair family of Malabar, she was married in 1925 to Kozhipurath Madhava Menon, a Congress leader of Calicut. She also joined the Congress the same year and became an active political worker. She suffered imprisonment on many occasions. She was a member of Madras. Legislature in 1936 and in 1946, and a member of All India. Congress Committee (1954-58). She was intensely interested in harijan welfare, widow-remarriage, anti-untouchability and khadi ; she also founded a home for destitutes at Calicut.
