Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa, 1910- , social worker. Born in Yugoslavia, she was originally named Agnes Bojaxhiu. She did commendable work for the poor and the destitute of India since 1946. She was the recipient of the Magsaysay Award, and of the Padma Shree (1962).
