Santha Rama Rau
Santha Rama Rau, 1923- , writer. Daughter of Sir Benegal Rama Rao, a diplomat, she was born in Madras, and educated in England and America. She became interested in journalism, while in America, and in 1952 she married an American, Faubion Bowers. She is the author of many books, short stories, and Bowers. travelogues. Among her more well known works are : Home to India (1945), This is India (1953), A Passage to India, daramatization of Forster’s book (1962), and The Adventurers (1971).
