Supriya
Supriya, 560-480 B.C., Buddhist nun. Daughter of Anathpundika, a rich merchant of Sravasti, she took a vow for the removal of famine which ravaged in Sravasti in the time of the Buddha. The Master blessed her for her concern for the people. She is famous in Buddhist history for her love for the suffering humanity.
