Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford (1942), US film actor, famous for his action-adventure roles of the 1980’s and 1990’s. Although he made his film debut as early as 1966, Ford failed to break out of minor parts and gave up acting for carpentry in 1970. He returned to the screen a few years later, finally achieving stardom in the science-fiction epic Star Wars 0977); sequels followed in 1980 and 1983. He also starred as Indiana Jones in Steven Spielberg’s fantasy adventure Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and its two sequels (1984 and 1989). Other notable films include Blade Runner (1982), Witness (1985), Presumed Innocent (1990), and Clear and Present Danger (1994).
