Why do we blink?
Our eyes blink automatically to keep away dust particles and other foreign bodies from entering the eyes. Secondly, blinking lubricates the eyes which might get dry otherwise. Tiny sebaceous glands present along the edge of each eyelid and the tear glands produce secretions even/time the eye blinks. Both the secretions prevent the eye from drying up.
