Subject: Deplorable condition of a park in locality Respected
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities to the deplorable condition of a Franklin’s Park at Queen’s Necklace Road.
This park extends to an area of more than two kilometres of land. Unfortunately, it is lying neglected for two years. The green area is littered with garbage and dirt. The lighting system is out of order and the walking track is broken and full of pits. Moreover, the gate and railings of the park are missing.
The outskirts of the park are occupied by the beggars for dwellings. This gives a shabby look. Due to the negligence of the authorities, this park has become more of a nuisance than a facility. Stray dogs and cattle have easy access to the park making it dirtier with their dung. Furthermore, it has become a safe place for antisocial activities especially during nights.
I hope that soon strong action will be taken by the officials in charge to make the park a wonderful place for children and other people.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Anand Sagar
