Dear Raman,
I am writing in reply to your letter. It seems that you are not much interested in reading books, magazines, and newspapers. You should realize that reading is very essential for children of your age. Regular practice of reading has several advantages.
Reading gives enjoyment as well as knowledge. Many people read books to collect information and are never satisfied with how much they read. Some people who are fluent in reading find great pleasure in reading books, newspapers, magazines, novels, etc. Children of your age find happiness in reading fairy tales and other storybooks. Grown-up children find pleasure in reading novels, adventurous stories, and encyclopedias. You can choose to read from a wide variety of books available in your school library.
Books involving wit and humour entertain us. Such books make us laugh as we read. Books help us to come across different descriptions and images. Sometimes joy in reading books comes from the memory of what we have earlier read. I suggest that you should cultivate the habit of reading for self-improvement.
Books can give us company when human beings cannot. You can happily spend your lonely hours in the company of characters created by the author of a book. By reading, you are surely going to improve your knowledge and command of the language. Regular reading will also improve your decision-making abilities in the future. In addition to this, reading different books will make you wiser and self-confident in life.
Thus, I advise you to remember the advantages of regular reading that I have mentioned. I will be waiting to hear from your side. Take care of yourself and study well.
Your affectionate uncle,
Ratanshawh
